Throughout our long history in the Hire business, we have had many high profile clients. In addition, we have provided our services to many weddings, 21st Birthdays and other family celebrations where a little more thought, consultation and planning is required.

The Team Behind PTL

Ben Cruise Sales Director

Ben’s family founded PTL 22 years ago... so he was potty trained in the business! He is normally found on-site offering his expertise to help plan the infrastructure of large events and sites.

After studying Law at UWE, Ben went on to Sandhurst and served as an officer for six years, before joining the family business.

He now lives in London with his wife and their pet cocker spaniel Tom.

Maxine Powell Office Manager

Maxine has been working for PTL since the company was established. In her role as Office Manager she makes sure the office is run efficiently and all the other administration involved in running a business of this size goes smoothly. However, she has also been fundamental to the structure of the business as it stands currently, and uses her knowledge of the hire industry to keep both the construction and event teams run in a suitably efficient manner!

During Maxine’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Also, it has been said she is not shy to some retail therapy on occasions.

Debra Habberfield Transport Manager

Debra joined PTL in 2007, starting as Office Administrator. It wasn’t long before she was using her abilities in the Accounts department, and putting them to good use!

In 2012 Debra became the Transport Manager, after completing OCR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in National Road Haulage. Debra enjoys the challenges that the role brings on a daily basis managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers.

Outside of work Debra enjoys spending time with her son, husband, family & friends.

Chris Dawkins Event Coordinator/ Sales

Prior to joining PTL, Chris had worked in the finance, telecom and IT industries. In 2009 Chris joined PTL as part of the telesales team, but has progressed over the past 5 years, and now plays a vital role in PTL and Hullabaloos sales.

Coming from a family who are strongly involved in the Rugby scene, and being Welsh, Chris enjoys watching the odd game of rugby and as a child played for his school and local teams. Chris says “There is nothing like the feeling of hearing Land Of my Father being played on an international day”.

Chris is also keen on getting on his bike when the weather is fine in Wales, and likes to cycle the local mountain trails and paths in his area.

Lisa Watson Credit Control/ Sales

Lisa joined PTL in 2011, coming from a predominantly sales and customer service background. Lisa started off in the sales department working part time in Credit Control. Lisa now deals with construction enquiries as well as managing some of our larger construction accounts.

When Lisa is not working she spends lots of time spoiling her dog Malcolm and taking him on long walks. Lisa is also partial to some retail therapy – but what girl isn’t?

Tanya Anthony Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Payable

Tanya works in Purchase Ledger and accounts payable.

Tanya joined PTL in 2011, starting off in the hire department covering maternity leave. Tanya proved herself as a key member of the PTL team so she moved into a permanent role in the accounts team. In 2013 Tanya gained her OCR Level 3 National Road Haulage qualification, in order to help assist her colleagues in the Transport Department.

Tanya enjoys spending time with her family, and also reading and walking during her spare time. In June 2014 Tanya will be taking part in the Race for Life.

Jo Warren Hire Desk Coordinator

Jo has been with PTL since 2006 when she started as the hire desk assistant, and has seen the team grow; now sitting as a hire desk controller. Her role involves overseeing the day to day work for our Bridgend and Avonmouth depots, organising the driver’s work for each day. Jo’s other responsibilities also involve dealing with queries, building on customer relations, producing invoices and dealing with invoice queries.

Outside of work Jo spends most of her time either looking after her horse or exercising her dogs. She enjoys riding Sheriff, and does some amateur show jumping and dressage with him. Maisie and Mollie, her two Border Collies also keep her on her toes, especially since she uses the show jumps to teach them some agility tricks!

Claire Green Hire Desk Assistant

Claire joined PTL 4 years ago as part of the Hire Desk. She oversees the work for the Oxford Depot and her role involves distributing and planning work for the drivers each day, planning service routes and working closely with transport, sales and the other team members on the hire desk.

Claire has seen PTL expand enormously, and is proud to be part of the team which has helped get the firm to where it is today.

Outside of work Claire is a busy mother of a young son and is currently planning her wedding to her partner of 8 years.

Claire enjoys archery, when she has the time, and loves to annoy her son and partner by singing at the top of her lungs whenever she is in the car!
