Our headquarters, where all our admin staff are based, is in in Bridegend, Wales. We also have offices in Oxford, Avonmouth, Stafford, Harrow and Basingstoke and our events and construction staff work all over the country.

Current Vacancies

We are looking for a qualified or highly experienced Transport Manager/Coordinator to join our busy family run company.

We are one of the largest Toilet Hire companies in the UK and have been established since 2003.

Since that time we have grown from strength to strength and are now looking for a Transport Manager/Coordinator to provide a professional and first class service within our Transport/Operations Department.

 

We are looking for someone reliable, conscientious and who has extensive experience in dealing with all Transport duties. They must be computer literate, can work as a team player, work to the best of their ability, also be able to work to deadlines in a busy environment and have a high level of attention to detail.

 

Key Tasks:

– To Significantly reduce Distribution costs while improving service

– Use of the company in-house system to create documentation.

– Communicating constantly with all Departments to ensure requirements for Events/Transport are understood and met.

– To be fully accountable to ensure the Company are legally compliant at all times, this will include servicing & maintenance, defect reporting, six weekly inspections, MOT’s, Tacho Callobrations, driving license checks, cpc training up to date etc.

– Maintaining all staff are fully trained in all aspects needed.

Qualified Transport Manager is desirable but not essential.

Full time hours with weekend work involved throughout the year.

Location – Portable Toilets Limited, Unit 12, Abergarw Trading Estate, Brynmenyn, Bridgend, CF32 9LW : Qualified Vehicle Mechanic : Full Time (Permanent) Hours: 7.30am – 17.00pm (Half Hour Lunch)

 

Responsibilities and Duties

The Successful candidate will have previous mechanical experience work part of a team also good communication skills .The position consist of mostly general servicing mot preparation & general diagnosing defects & rectification

We have a range of various vehicles from Landrover discovery’s/Isuzu Grafters 3.5 Ton/Mercedes Sprinters 3.5/5 ton (Advice and training given when required )

Required driving licence valid to drive in the UK

Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Driver to join our family owned business which is an experienced, fast growing and the leading supplier of Portable Toilets within the event and construction industry.

 

Job Purpose: Supplying Portable sanitation to the Event/Construction Industry.

Vehicles being used vary from: 3.5 Ton to 18 Ton including towing.

 

General Duties include: Delivering/collecting and servicing Portable Toilets throughout the UK. You will be responsible for carrying out your daily vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported to the Transport Manager or Mechanic. You will be responsible for the loading and unloading of all equipment required at each location. As an employee you must be of smart appearance, approachable, willing to work with the general public and be in a position of trust. Reliable and honest are a must. You must also have a good level of fitness to be able to complete manual handling duties. The ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, reaching and lifting all in line with Health & Safety regulations.

 

Skills/Qualifications: The candidate must have a full clean driving license and have passed their test before 1997 or gained the above entitlement and have no more than 3 points on their license. It is also essential that they have a digital tachograph card, DQC Card, CPC complete and knowledge of analogue tachographs.

 

Towing experience is required.

 

Your total weekly driving hours will fall on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and it will also mean you may be working away from base throughout the summer period – May to September.
