Camp Bestival came first; the family friendly extravaganza saw children of all ages enjoying a whole host of activities and artists. Grown-ups were kept entertained by the likes of Rick Astley and Orbital, whilst the younger audience had Mr Tumble, Dick and Dom and Paddington to help while away the hours.
A show this size, catering for families, needs an excellent sanitation plan. Luckily, the organisers chose to use PTL, yet again, to provide over 600 portable toilets for hire within the arena and campsites. With this amount of kit comes a lot of staff, vehicles and stock, but www.ptl.uk.com are fully equipped to deal with that!
Not all the sanitation was the traditional PJ type portable loo however; we used a load of our newly developed, highly sustainable VACPOD units throughout the whole show. VIP areas, upgraded camping areas and backstage were all spoiled by the fresh water, vacuum flushing technology of the PTL VACPOD.
Where water supply may have been more difficult, our more traditional VIP TRAILERS were installed; our artists were VERY pleased with those!
All the guests were very well catered for with showers too, as well as great provision for guests with accessibility requirements.
Following a very successful, albeit weather-affected Camp Bestival, it was time to prep the whole party again for Bestival, the grown up ‘ravier ‘version of what just happened!
This time Grace Jones, London Grammar and Chaka Khan wowed the crowds in front of the castle, whilst DJs from around the world rocked the Temple Field and Bollywood Tent.
After a stunning weekend, and with thousands of ravers satisfied and sanitary, it was time to pack the whole circus away again for another year.
Thank you Camp Bestival and Bestival; you were extraordinary, and we can’t wait to see you again!
